Michael Johanek is a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service and is the Director of Intelligence Analysis, Partnership and Engagement, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible to the Secretary of the Air Force and Air Force Chief of Staff for Intelligence Analysis, supporting policy formulation, planning, programming and budget execution and force design. Additionally, he is responsible for Intelligence analysis policy, tradecraft and analytic integrity for Intelligence Airmen in meeting Office of the Director of National Intelligence standards. Finally, he leads partnership engagement efforts to build interoperable Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations capabilities with foreign Air Forces. Mr. Johanek entered the Air Force in 1993 after graduating from the University of Washington through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He is a career intelligence officer, with assignments at the squadron, group, wing, air operations center, major command and combatant command levels. He commanded the 36th Intelligence Squadron and established and commanded the 365th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group. Prior tohis current assignment, Mr. Johanek was the Director, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command.
