Mr. Christopher M. Wilcox, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of Test and Evaluation, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible for policy, resources and oversight of developmental and operational testing. He oversees the Air Force’s test infrastructure worth $4 billion, and the programming and execution of the Air Force test portfolio with an annual budget of $1.9 billion. Mr. Wilcox started his civil service as a test project manager with the U.S. Air Force at Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee, in 1994. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a master’s degree in aerospace in 1997. He then served as a flight test engineer at Edwards AFB, California, supporting weapons testing on the B-1, B-2, B-52 and F-22, and as a test and evaluation program integrator in the Missile Defense Agency supporting the Theater High Altitude Area Defense and Israeli Arrow air defense programs. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Wilcox served as Deputy/Technical Director with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, directing the test and evaluation of all U.S. Army aviation, artillery and air defense systems.
