Col Agustin Carrero is the Commander of Space Delta 11 (Ranges & Aggressors, Training & Exercises, Weapons School), under Space Training and Readiness Command, headquartered at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. His Guardians, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines are responsible for delivering realistic, threat-informed test, training, and exercise resources to United States Space Force and Joint/Coalition Space Operators via live, virtual, and constructive threat replication, leveraging the electromagnetic, orbital, and cyber range and aggressors. Col Carrero graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and entered the Air Force in 1997 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He served in Command, Joint, COCOM and MAJCOM positions in intercontinental ballistic missile, space-based missile warning, space range, weapons and tactics, combat training, exercises and wargaming, space electromagnetic warfare, and command and control operations. Col Carrero is a graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School. Prior to his current position, Col Carrero served as the Director of Reserve Component Forces and Manpower, and the Air Force Reserve Advisor to the Commander, U.S. Space Command at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. Col Carrero commanded the 710th Operations Group, where he led six Reserve squadrons responsible for strategic and theater missile warning, supporting missile defense, battlespace awareness and technical intelligence, space electromagnetic warfare, and combat training. Col Carrero served as the Space and Cyber Operations Functional Manager at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, and as Air Force Reserve Advisor to the Director of Plans, Programs and Financial Management at Headquarters Air Force Space Command. He commanded the 379thSpace Range Squadron at Schriever space Force Base, Colorado and deployed in support of Operations NORTHERN/SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM.
