AMC Operational Liaison, 367th Training Support Squadron (TRSS)

TSgt David Shepherd is the AMC Operational Liaison for the 367th Training Support Squadron (TRSS) at Hill AFB, UT. He coordinates efforts between HAF, AMC, and AETC, providing ancillary and advanced training while maintaining the currency of 200 aircraft mx training courses for 60K students per year. He is also a critical member of AMC/A4MM’s Extended Reality (XR) Innovation Team, implementing modernized training solutions for 13K maintainers and a $104B fleet.

TSgt Shepherd hails from St. Charles, Missouri and entered Active Duty service on 3 May, 2011. He enlisted as an Integrated Avionics Technician on C-17s and he has worked in several different positions within the aircraft maintenance career-field. He has served at both CONUS and OCONUS installations in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL. In 2018, he retrained into the Education and Training career field and was assigned to the 3 Air Support Operations Group at Fort Cavazos AIN, TX. While there he led a team of 8 Unit Training Managers and 5 additional duty training managers, responsible for training management for 790 personnel across 7 geographically separated locations.
