TSgt Charles D. Langdon, USSF

TSgt Charles D. Langdon joined the Air Force in August of 2015 as a Space Systems Operations Specialist and in 2016 arrived at his first unit, the 4th Space Operations Squadron. Here he was a Satellite Ground Link System Operator where he became an Orbital Analyst achieving a level 2 certification for engineering processes on MILSTAR and Advanced Extremely High Frequency systems. TSgt Langdon then transferred to the 3rd Space Experimentation Squadron in November 2018, where he was Subject Matter Expert for Mycroft performing Relative Proximity Operations. In 2021, he attended the Space Test Course and graduated as the first enlisted member from Test Pilot School. Charles returned to the 3rd Space Experimentation Squadron upon graduation and transitioned to the Space Force at that time. TSgt Langdon then assisted operations as an Orbital Warfare Subject Matter Expert and continued in that capacity with designing test plans for the newly renamed 3rd Test and Evaluations Squadron. In 2023 he attended the Super Coder course and achieved the z-prefix. Upon completion of the course, he assisted the Eastern Range Defense Assessment System team to modernize their system for various launch capabilities. Finally, in November of 2023, he moved to the 4th Test and Evaluation Squadron where he delved into Electronic Warfare and utilized his orbital and test experience to further emerging Space Force capabilities. TSgt Langdon has been attending Colorado Technical University and is expected to graduate in June of 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a minor in Software Engineering and plans to continue with a Master’s in System Engineering. Charles is also an avid gamer, reader, outdoorsman, and stepfather to his girlfriend Kassandra’s two children.
