Deputy Chief/Administrator, Medical Modernization Division, Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (AFMMAST) Program, Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command (AETC)

Mr. Ruisi (GS-13) is the Deputy Chief/Administrator, Medical Modernization Division, Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (AFMMAST) Program for Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Surgeon General’s (SG) Office on JBSA Randolph, TX. In this position, he oversees plans & programs, and advocates for, and executes program initiatives to enhance AETC medical future technology capabilities. Mr. Ruisi provides strategic direction for over $30M in Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) simulation contracts and assets. As well as managing over $44M in simulation equipment throughout the AFMS. He supports AFMMAST policy, standards, curriculum, equipment validation, medical education, and simulation training in venues to include home station care, medical readiness, and battlefield trauma management.

Mr. Ruisi entered the Air Force in 1999, and served as a medical logistician for 13 years. He has served in numerous leadership positions and several deployments. Mr. Ruisi has vast experience in the EMEDS concept as he served three years as NCOIC War Reserve Material Kunsan AB Korea. He was a member of the DECON team, patient movement, and disaster recovery team. Mr. Ruisi was NCOIC Medical Logistics Sheppard AFB 882nd Training Support Squadron and concluded his Air Force career at Wilford Hall Medical Center as the NCOIC of Contract Services. In addition, Mr. Ruisi provides support for the AFMS in developing, facilitating & aligning Strategic Planning, Programming & Operations Support for the AFMMAST Central Program Office. Mr. Ruisi is originally from Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Ashford University with Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management with a focus in Logistics.
