Mr. James “Fish” Sturgeon

Jim Sturgeon currently serves as a Director at Linquest in the Acquisition and Research Support division responsible for multiple programs supporting Air Force Material Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and Air Force Research Laboratories.  Before joining LinQuest, he served 30 years in the before retiring from the Air Force as a Colonel.  During his military career he flew F-16s, commanded at the squadron and group levels, served as the military deputy to the Director of Air Force Studies and Analyses and capped off his career as the Director of Air Force Checkmate, providing strategy and planning advice to the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force.  He is a member of the Military Operations Research Society and holds a degree in Operations Research from the United States Air Force Academy as well as two master’s degrees in Military Art and Science, and Strategic Studies.
