General Session: Lonestar Ballrooms DEF

DASD Baxter plans to focus her keynote on how the Department can further scale and use M&S to train for the future fight, accelerating Joint Force readiness. She will unpack the training requirements for these technologies, discussing the criticality of fostering interoperability, minimizing duplication of effort, and building a “safe space” – largely in terms of OPSEC – for warfighters to fail, learn, improve, and succeed in support of the mission. Ms. Baxter intends to share formal remarks, participate in a “fireside chat” with a DAF moderator, and field questions from the audience during her keynote, ensuring that it is dynamic, interactive, and engaging.

Ms. Caroline Baxter was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Education and Training in August 2021.
